The accompanying transcripts are taken from a number of 
interviews which Stephen Kelly and Judith Jones recorded for their book on Coronation Street. The book was published in 1990 to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Coronation Street. It includes interviews with production staff, writers, technical staff, actors and others at Granada Television. Since the publication of this book a number of those interviewed have died but are included here as a testament to their part in the Granada story.
