Andrew Quinn joined Granada TV’s personnel department from General Motors in 1964. He took on a variety of roles within the company including head of production services and general manager before being appointed the managing director of Granada Cable and Satellite in 1983. He became managing director in 1987 and chief executive five years later. He service as the chief executive of Independent Television Network Centre in 1992, a role he held until 1995.
